Description
X Heucherella ‘Spicy Lime Foamy Bells’ is a striking hybrid perennial known for its vibrant, chartreuse lime-green foliage that adds a bold splash of color to shade gardens and containers. This cultivar is a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella, combining the best traits of both genera: the heat and drought tolerance of Heuchera with the delicate, airy flower spikes and unique leaf patterns of Tiarella. ‘Spicy Lime Foamy Bells’ features attractive, scalloped leaves with subtle veining and a slightly ruffled texture, paired with charming, bell-shaped, creamy-white flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. This plant thrives in part shade to shade, preferring well-drained, humus-rich soil, and its compact growth habit makes it ideal for edging, ground cover, or mixed shade borders. Its ease of care, combined with strong resistance to common foliar diseases, has made it a popular choice among gardeners seeking year-round visual interest and versatility. The cultivar is appreciated for its ability to brighten darker garden spots with its luminous foliage, and it has been recognized by various horticultural societies for its unique aesthetic and reliable garden performance.
