Description
Scabiosa columbaria ‘Flutter Pure White,’ commonly known as the Pure White Pincushion Flower, is a charming perennial prized for its delicate, pure white, pincushion-like blooms atop slender stems. Native to Europe and parts of Asia, Scabiosa columbaria has long been appreciated in traditional cottage gardens for its airy, soft-textured appearance and its ability to attract pollinators such as butterflies and bees. The ‘Flutter’ series is a modern selection that offers improved floriferousness and disease resistance, providing an extended bloom period from late spring through fall. This cultivar’s compact habit and elegant flowers make it ideal for borders, rock gardens, and cutting gardens, where its light, ethereal blossoms add a refined touch. Renowned for its adaptability to well-drained soils and full sun, it thrives in both formal and naturalistic garden settings. Its unique combination of ornamental appeal and pollinator support has earned it recognition among garden enthusiasts and professionals alike.
