Description
Muhlenbergia capillaris ‘White Cloud’ Muhly Grass is a stunning ornamental grass known for its delicate, airy plumes that create a striking cloud-like effect in late summer and fall. Unlike the traditional pink-flowered Muhlenbergia capillaris, this cultivar produces pure white flower panicles, offering a unique, ethereal appearance that brightens landscapes with a soft, silvery-white haze. Native to the southeastern United States, Muhly grass thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, demonstrating excellent drought tolerance and low maintenance requirements, making it ideal for naturalistic garden designs, borders, and mass plantings. Its fine-textured, arching foliage forms elegant clumps that turn a warm amber in autumn, complementing the white blooms. The ‘White Cloud’ cultivar has been celebrated for its ornamental appeal and adaptability, enhancing both residential and commercial landscapes with its graceful movement and year-round interest.
