Description
Juniperus sabina ‘Monard’ Moor-Dense® Savin Juniper is a compact, dense evergreen shrub prized for its rich, dark green foliage and exceptional hardiness. Originating from the Savin Juniper species native to Eurasia, ‘Monard’ has been selectively bred to offer a more uniform, tightly mounded growth habit, making it ideal for low-maintenance ground cover or foundation planting. This cultivar is particularly valued for its tolerance to harsh environmental conditions including drought, poor soils, and urban pollution, which contributes to its popularity in landscape design for erosion control and mass planting applications. Its fine-textured, scale-like leaves provide year-round interest and a refined appearance, while its slow growth rate ensures long-lasting structure with minimal pruning. Recognized for its durability and aesthetic appeal, Moor-Dense® has earned a reputation among gardeners and landscapers for combining both ornamental beauty and practical resilience.
