Description
Festuca glauca ‘Beyond Blue’™ Blue Fescue is an ornamental grass valued for its vibrant, steel-blue foliage that adds striking color contrast and texture to garden landscapes. This compact, tufted perennial grass forms neat mounds typically 6 to 8 inches tall, making it ideal for borders, rock gardens, and container plantings. Originating from native Eurasian species, blue fescue has been cultivated and selected for enhanced color intensity and uniform growth. ‘Beyond Blue’™ is notable for its exceptional powdery-blue hue that intensifies with full sun exposure and dry conditions, showcasing excellent drought tolerance and low maintenance needs. Its fine-textured, needle-like leaves provide year-round interest, turning a silvery-blue in cooler seasons. This cultivar’s durability, combined with its ornamental appeal, makes it a favored choice among landscapers and gardeners seeking year-round color and structure in garden designs.
