Description
Cupressocyparis leylandii ‘Moncal’, commonly known as Emerald Isle® Leyland Cypress, is a fast-growing evergreen conifer prized for its dense, vibrant emerald-green foliage and excellent adaptability to a variety of landscape conditions. A hybrid between Monterey cypress and Arizona cypress, this cultivar offers superior disease resistance and a more refined, upright growth habit compared to traditional Leyland cypress varieties. Its naturally columnar shape makes it an ideal choice for privacy screens, windbreaks, and formal hedges, providing year-round lush greenery with minimal maintenance. Developed through careful breeding programs to enhance its vigor and uniformity, Emerald Isle® Leyland Cypress has gained recognition in the horticultural community for its reliability and aesthetic appeal in residential and commercial landscapes.
