Description
Cortaderia selloana ‘Pumila’ Ivory Feathers ®, commonly known as Dwarf Pampas Grass, is a compact ornamental grass prized for its graceful, feathery plumes and dense, arching foliage. Originating from South America, this cultivar is a dwarf selection of the traditional pampas grass, offering a smaller stature that typically reaches 3 to 4 feet in height, making it ideal for smaller landscapes or container planting. Its striking ivory-white flower plumes appear in late summer to fall, providing an elegant and airy texture that adds movement and softness to garden designs. Renowned for its drought tolerance and adaptability to various soil types, ‘Ivory Feathers’ thrives in full sun and is often used as a focal point, border accent, or privacy screen. The cultivar’s compact size and refined plumes have made it popular among gardeners seeking the dramatic effect of pampas grass without overwhelming space, and it has gained recognition for its ornamental value and landscape versatility.
