Description
Bambusa multiplex ‘Golden Goddess’, commonly known as Lewis Bamboo, is a striking clumping bamboo variety prized for its vibrant golden-yellow canes that add a warm, tropical accent to landscapes. Native to China and widely cultivated for its ornamental appeal, this bamboo features dense, lush green foliage that provides excellent screening and privacy while maintaining an elegant, airy texture. As a clumping bamboo, ‘Golden Goddess’ spreads slowly, making it a manageable choice for garden settings without the invasiveness associated with running bamboos. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and is adaptable to a range of soil types, showing good drought tolerance once established. This cultivar is valued not only for its aesthetic qualities but also for its versatility in landscape design, from specimen planting to hedging. Its distinctive golden canes have made it a favored selection among landscapers and garden enthusiasts seeking a vibrant, easy-care bamboo with year-round visual interest.
