Description
Adenanthos ‘Silver Haze’ Wollybush is a striking evergreen shrub valued for its soft, silvery-gray foliage that adds a unique texture and color contrast to garden landscapes. Native to Australia, this member of the Proteaceae family thrives in well-drained soils and sunny locations, showcasing an elegant, somewhat informal growth habit that reaches moderate heights and widths. Its fine, woolly leaves not only provide visual interest but also help the plant tolerate drought and heat, making it an excellent choice for xeriscaping and coastal gardens. The ‘Silver Haze’ cultivar is particularly admired for its refined, delicate leaf structure compared to other Adenanthos species, contributing to its popularity among gardeners seeking low-maintenance, drought-tolerant plants with a soft, silvery appearance. This cultivar contributes to biodiversity by attracting native pollinators, especially birds, with its subtle but attractive flowers. Adenanthos ‘Silver Haze’ stands out in native and Mediterranean-style gardens for its combination of resilience, distinctive foliage, and understated floral display, embodying both ornamental value and ecological function.
