The smooth front roller performs best with cutting heights at or below 1-1/4 to provide a more level cut and prevent scalping. It also enables the Classic series mowers to cut on top of edges. IF YOU ARE CHANGING FROM CASTER WHEELS TO A FRONT ROLLER, THIS IS THE CORRECT ACCESSORY – the front rollers do not fit on the caster wheel frame.
