Description
Pinus strobus ‘Niagara Falls’ is a striking cultivar of the Eastern White Pine, renowned for its unique cascading growth habit that resembles a waterfall, making it a standout specimen in landscape design. This slow-growing evergreen features soft, bluish-green needles that drape elegantly over its branches, creating a graceful, weeping form unlike the typical upright habit of standard Eastern White Pines. Native to eastern North America, the Eastern White Pine has a rich history as a valued timber tree and ornamental species prized for its adaptability and tolerance to a range of soil types. ‘Niagara Falls’ combines the species’ traditional hardiness with a distinctive, ornamental silhouette, contributing both seasonal interest and year-round texture to gardens and parks. Its exceptional form and visual appeal have earned it recognition among conifers favored for specimen planting and landscape focal points.
